Arunachal athletes excel at the 2nd All India Pencak Silat Championship

At the 2nd All India Pencak Silat Championship 2024, which took place from November 19 to 21 at Srinagar’s Sher Kashmir Indoor Sports Stadium, competitors from Arunachal Pradesh put on a strong show. On the national stage, four senior athletes won gold, demonstrating their talent and tenacity. Biki Yatang won silver in the 50–55 kg division, and Jeevan Tara won gold in the under-45 kg division.

Both Nibi Dawe and Tali Rimo won bronze in the 65–70 kg and 55–60 kg weight classes. 17 senior athletes from the state competed, according to Kipa Takar, assistant general secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Pencak Silat Association (APPSA). Athletes from all over the nation competed fiercely for the top honors at the tournament.
