Arunachal celebrates State Foundation Days of Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura

The Arunachal Pradesh Raj Bhavan marked the State Foundation Days of Manipur, Meghalaya, and Tripura on January 21 with a vibrant cultural celebration in Itanagar. Governor Lt. Gen. K T Parnaik (Retd) and First Lady Anagha Parnaik graced the event, highlighting the unity and cultural diversity of the nation.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Parnaik emphasized that the celebration aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,’ fostering national unity and the spirit of ‘One India.’ He stated, “This occasion showcases India’s cultural richness and strengthens the bond of unity, contributing to a developed Bharat.”

The event featured traditional dance performances from the three states, reflecting their rich cultural heritage. The Manipuri troupe performed Liklaiba Ho Lainingthou and Kege Moirang Leibaki, while the Tripura troupe showcased Hojagiri, Lebang Boomani, and Bengali dances. Meghalaya’s troupe enthralled the audience with Garo and Khasi performances.

Students from Abotani Vidya Niketan, Pachin, attended as special invitees. The Governor encouraged the young audience to appreciate the cultural presentations, fostering an understanding of India’s diversity.
