Arunachal is undergoing a process to establish an administrative reforms body

The government of Arunachal Pradesh has commenced a process to identify notable individuals for the proposed Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC), which aims to implement transformative changes in public administration and governance within the state. This initiative began with a meeting of the selection committee, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, State Law and Justice Minister Kento Jini, and Mebo MLA Oken Tayeng. The ARC is tasked with reviewing the current administrative framework, suggesting improvements to public service delivery, and optimizing governance mechanisms across various departments. The panel’s duties encompass analyzing the governance landscape of Arunachal Pradesh and developing reform proposals that are in line with current socio-economic requirements.
