Arunachal is urging the central government to increase air connectivity in the state

Arunachal Pradesh’s state government has requested the Centre to honor its commitments regarding air connectivity in the state, in anticipation of the upcoming inauguration of the new terminal building at Donyi Polo Airport. State Civil Aviation Minister Balo Raja referred to the promises made during discussions held in New Delhi in March and May this year. Raja emphasized that the state government had communicated the development to the public via local media, fostering expectations about enhanced air services. The new terminal building at Donyi Polo Airport is approaching completion and is expected to be inaugurated in the first week of August. Raja also mentioned that Arunachal Pradesh is preparing to host the 3rd Northeast Aviation Summit in Itanagar on September 5, 2025. He requested ongoing collaboration and support from the ministry to bolster the aviation sector in Arunachal Pradesh.
