Tapir Gao, the Member of Parliament for Arunachal East, marked the Christmas festivities by celebrating with the residents of the Deepak Nabam Living Home, a sanctuary for the destitute in Itanagar. The event, which was a joint effort between the Deepak Nabam Living Home and Ministries in Christ, took place at the Senki Park Centre, spreading joy and warmth to those in need.
Gao, who served as the Chief Guest, was joined by Nabam Tagi, the ZPM of Leporiang in Papum Pare district, as the Guest of Honour. In his address, Gao reflected on the teachings of Jesus Christ, highlighting the virtues of peace, love, and forgiveness. He underscored how these values positively shape society and encourage a spirit of togetherness.
“True religion,” Gao stated, “is not about rituals but about serving humanity. It’s about maintaining a pure heart, helping the helpless, and showing kindness to those in need, including widows and orphans.” His words resonated deeply with the audience, offering a message of compassion and hope.
