Arunachal: Newly elected BJP MLA vows to restore Aalo’s glory

Advocate Topin Ete, recently elected as the BJP MLA for Aalo West Assembly constituency in West Siang district, has pledged to rejuvenate the vibrant town of Aalo. Ete secured a decisive victory, surpassing his NPP rival by over 1900 votes.

In an interview with India Today NE, Ete expressed his commitment to revitalizing Aalo, which was once the crown jewel of Siang district. The town, serving as a vital corridor to the China border town of Menchuka, is on the brink of becoming a major tourist hub in Arunachal Pradesh. The nearing completion of a two-lane highway connecting Aalo to the China border marks a significant milestone, promising enhanced connectivity and economic growth.

“The rapid development in the region under the BJP-led government has been remarkable,” Ete remarked, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2019 campaign visit as a pivotal moment that bolstered support for the party.
