Two police officers in Arunachal Pradesh’s Kra Daadi district have been suspended for allegedly consuming drugs, a senior official confirmed on February 14. A departmental inquiry is currently underway against the personnel.
The officers were detained during a raid at a meat shop in Palin, the district’s headquarters, on Wednesday night. Two civilians were also taken into custody during the same operation, according to Kra Daadi Superintendent of Police (SP) Sepraj Perme.
Authorities seized two vials of a suspected contraband substance weighing approximately 2.24 grams from the scene. However, the main suspect believed to be involved in supplying the drugs managed to flee under the cover of darkness and heavy rain, SP Perme added.
