The Tea Board of India, the Tea Research Association, and the Arunachal Pradesh Trade and Commerce department recently arranged a four-day training course on “Quality Upgradation of Tea and Its Processing” at Oyan, East Siang district. Farmers from Mirem, Oyan, the surrounding districts, and Donyi Polo Tea Estate benefited from the scheme.
The program sought to provide farmers with the necessary information and abilities to raise the quality of tea and advance industrial processing methods. Local farmers attended the training in more numbers than anticipated, and it was led by officers from the Tea Board and experts from the Tea Research Association’s Arunachal Advisory Centre. According to a release, the program ended with a practical hands-on session in the field and a certificate distribution ceremony where participants were given certificates for finishing the training satisfactorily.
