BSA Motorcycles, a renowned British brand, officially entered the North-East Indian market with the delivery of its first Gold Star 650 to Arunachal Pradesh MLA, Oken Tayeng. Known for his contributions to infrastructure and adventure tourism, Tayeng applauded the motorcycle’s blend of vintage aesthetics and modern engineering, making it perfect for the region’s challenging terrains.
The Gold Star 650, launched in India on August 15, 2024, features a 652cc liquid-cooled engine, offering 45.6 PS of power and 55 Nm of torque. Equipped with Brembo brakes, dual-channel ABS, and Pirelli tyres, it represents a fusion of classic British design with advanced performance. “This motorcycle embodies BSA’s legacy while catering to the modern rider,” said Ashish Singh Joshi, Director of BSA Company, highlighting the brand’s re-entry into the Indian market.
The North-East, particularly Itanagar, is expected to emerge as a prime market for the Gold Star 650. With growing interest in premium motorcycles for scenic and adventurous routes, Itanagar offers a promising customer base eager for high-performance, reliable bikes like the Gold Star 650. Priced from Rs 2.99 Lakh, the BSA Gold Star 650 is now available at select dealerships across India, marking a key milestone in BSA’s revival.
