The European Space Agency (ESA) successfully launched the Ariane 6 rocket from French Guiana, placing two new satellites (SAT-33 and SAT-34) into orbit for the Galileo navigation system. These additions complete a major phase of the constellation, which now provides positioning accuracy of approximately 20 centimeters through its High Accuracy Service. Galileo serves over 4.5 billion users worldwide, offering a critical, sovereign alternative to the US-owned GPS.
