After intense negotiations, Italian metal worker unions Fim, Fiom, and Uilm successfully signed a renewed National Collective Labour Agreement (NCLA) with employers’ associations. The agreement, which covers over 1.5 million workers, guarantees a €205 (approx. US$237) increase on minimum contractual salaries over four years. This victory is crucial for protecting workers’ purchasing power against rising living costs and reinforces the strength of the national collective bargaining system in Italy.
