Kameng Culture and Heritage Museum inauguration done by CM Pema Khandu

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu opened the Kameng Culture and Heritage Museum in Nyukmadung, Arunachal. Khandu referred to ancient books like Kalika Purana and Mahabharata to emphasize the religious significance. Describing the Kameng Museum as a crucial institution for preserving the past and encouraging future generations. The Indian Army has assisted in the establishment of the museum as well as border area development. Khandu said that the museum reflects the army’s dedication to transforming border communities through initiatives such as model villages, border tourism, infrastructure improvement, and alignment with the government’s VVP.

The CM described the museum’s opening as a milestone in a comprehensive vision for border areas that focuses on inclusivity, sustainability, and economic development in the region through ‘border tourism’ and ‘culture revival’. Indian Army will collaborate with the state government to promote the entire development of the state’s people and create a ‘Viksit Arunachal’.

He emphasized the importance of the museum in conserving Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage. The art museum is a joint endeavor between the Indian Army and the local population. It will bring together all of Arunachal Pradesh’s cultural and religious groupings. Lt Col Rawat stated that the VVP museum will promote cultural peace, security, and a dedication to nation-building through communal integration.
