Military-civil fusion seminar wraps up in Rayang, focuses on border development and security

A two-day Military-Civil Fusion Seminar concluded at Rayang, Arunachal Pradesh, marking a significant step towards enhancing coordination between the armed forces and civil agencies for regional development and national security in India’s sensitive border areas.

The seminar brought together stakeholders from the Indian Army, civil administration, ITBP, BRO, NHPC, Rashtriya Raksha University, NCC, State Police, and other key departments. Notable attendees included Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang, SP Token Saring, and Pasighat SP Pankaj Lamba, who addressed governance and development issues in frontier districts.

Key topics discussed included border management, infrastructure development, strategic tourism, and disaster preparedness. The second day focused on long-term initiatives such as the Siang Multipurpose Project and human resource development as critical tools for nation-building. The seminar ended with actionable recommendations aimed at enhancing inter-agency coordination, aligning infrastructure planning with strategic goals, and promoting economic opportunities through tourism.
