Nissan India unveils all-new Tekton C-SUV, pave way for growth in domestic and global markets

Nissan Motor India today announced the first look of its upcoming C-SUV, the All-New Nissan Tekton, ahead of its official launch in 2026. Inspired by the legendary Nissan Patrol, the Tekton combines bold design, advanced technology, and premium craftsmanship, reflecting Nissan’s commitment to delivering vehicles that enrich customer lifestyles. The name “Tekton,” meaning “craftsman” or “architect” in Greek, embodies precision engineering and innovation central to Nissan’s global ethos.

The Tekton represents the second product under Nissan’s “One Car, One World” strategy and will be manufactured at Nissan-Renault’s Chennai plant for domestic sales as well as exports to select international markets. Key design highlights include a muscular side profile, sculpted bonnet, signature C-shaped headlamps, rear illuminated lightbar, and subtle mountain motifs on the front doors, creating a commanding and distinctive SUV presence.

Dealers report strong anticipation for the Tekton, with inquiries rising among young professionals and SUV enthusiasts seeking a combination of premium styling, robust performance, and advanced features. Market experts suggest the model could significantly boost Nissan’s footprint in the region, tapping into the growing demand for mid-size and premium SUVs. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan India, emphasized, “The All-New Tekton is central to our growth strategy, showcasing Nissan’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer-centric design in India and beyond.”
