Nissan Motor India has posted its highest consolidated sales in seven years, crossing 99,000 units in FY2024-25—a 35% year-on-year growth—driven by strong domestic demand and export success of the New Nissan Magnite. This milestone reinforces India’s strategic role as a manufacturing and export hub under Nissan’s “One Car, One World” philosophy.
With over 28,000 domestic units sold and 71,000+ exported to 65+ countries—including left-hand-drive markets like Saudi Arabia—the New Magnite has become central to Nissan’s India-focused growth strategy. The company has also announced plans to launch an all-new 7-seater B-MPV in FY25 and a 5-seater C-SUV in FY26, even as it restructures operations by offloading its stake in the Chennai JV plant to its Alliance partner.
Local dealers report rising inquiries, especially from middle-income households, aided by better road networks and growing financial inclusion. Despite a 3% price hike from April 2025 due to rising input costs, Nissan’s mid-term strategy remains consumer-focused, export-oriented, and aligned with India’s ambitions to become a global automotive production base.
