On August 11, Tesla will open its second store in India at Aerocity in Delhi

Tesla plans to open its second retail location in India in order to increase its market share in the electric vehicle sector. In the national capital, which is a major focus for India’s quest for electric mobility, the new Tesla Experience Center will debut on August 11 in Aerocity’s posh Worldmark 3 complex. This inauguration occurs less than a month after Tesla opened its first showroom at the Maker Maxity mall in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai on July 15.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the high-profile Mumbai event, congratulating Tesla on its arrival in the state and inviting the business to establish R&D and manufacturing facilities there. Rent for the Aerocity facility, which is presently nearing completion, is anticipated to be approximately Rs 25 lakh per month. Social media has already seen pictures of the almost finished store, emphasizing the brand’s high-end stance in India. The Model Y is the only vehicle that Tesla currently sells in India, and it costs Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

It comes in two varieties: a long-range rear-wheel drive model with a 75 kWh battery that can travel up to 622 km on a single charge, and a conventional rear-wheel drive model with a 60 kWh battery that has a 500 km WLTP-certified range. Additionally, the business has expanded access beyond its original launch locations by updating its website to permit automobile registration in all states and union territories. The enhanced capacity will be delivered in India later, even though Tesla lists its full self-driving (FSD) technology as an optional extra for Rs 6 lakh.
