Over 2,000 students join Tiranga Yatra in Seppa

East Kameng district witnessed a grand Tiranga Yatra in Seppa town, led by Arunachal Pradesh’s Home Minister and local MLA, Mama Natung, marking India’s 78th year of Independence. The event, which featured a 600-foot-long national flag, saw participation from over 2,000 students from various schools across the district. The rally, organized by the East Kameng district administration, was a follow-up to last year’s 300-foot-long flag rally, which had drawn significant attention. This year, the flag was brought from New Delhi, symbolizing a renewed commitment to fostering nationalism among the public. Participants marched through the streets of Seppa, chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” creating an atmosphere of unity and pride.

Home Minister Natung, in his address to the gathering, emphasized the importance of the national flag and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. “The tricolour holds deep significance; saffron represents sacrifice and power, white stands for peace and truth, while green symbolizes growth. I urge every citizen to hoist the national flag at their homes as a testament to their patriotism,” Natung stated. He also lauded the efforts of the district administration and the police department in successfully implementing the ‘Nasha Mukt Abhiyan’ campaign, which aims to rid the district of drug abuse.

East Kameng’s Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Rana, IAS, known for pioneering the use of drones for medical supply delivery in the district, called on the community to support the district’s growth across all sectors. Rana’s leadership continues to inspire innovative solutions to local challenges, contributing to the district’s development and pride.
