Pema Khandu launches FLN Center to promote early learning in Doimukh

In an effort to improve early-grade education in the state, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu opened a Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Center in Doimukh. The center is designed to guarantee that every kid attains foundational reading and numeracy by the end of Grade 3 while being attentive to local culture and requirements, according to the Chief Minister. It is in line with the National Education Policy 2020 and the NIPUN Bharat Mission. “Opened the Doimukh Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) Center. The FLN Center is the first in the nation to guarantee that all children acquire fundamental literacy and numeracy abilities by the end of Grade 3, in line with local Arunachal culture and needs, in accordance with NEP 2020 and NIPUN Bharat Mission,” he wrote on X.

Khandu claims that the facility will use a child-centered, play-based approach, encourage early mother tongue training, and integrate ongoing evaluation techniques. Additionally, the program emphasizes enhancing teacher effectiveness and promoting community involvement. “NHPC, HDFC, the Untied Fund, the Local Area Development Fund (LADF) from the Pare Hydro Project, and CSR contributions all contributed to the development of the center,” he stated. Khandu thanked Doimukh MLA Nabam Vivek and other project participants for their contributions. Additionally, the Chief Minister commended the district administration for its leadership in carrying out the project, especially Deputy Commissioner Visakha Yadav, IAS.
