Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has acquired a majority stake in Australia-based health beverage company Goodness Group Global Pty. Ltd., marking its entry into the Australian consumer goods market.
The acquisition brings popular health-focused brands such as Nexba and PACE into RCPL’s portfolio. PACE is a hydration drink co-created with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins. The deal will also help RCPL introduce these brands to new markets, including India.
T Krishnakumar, Director at RCPL, said the partnership is a key step in building RCPL into a global FMCG player from India, strengthening its health and wellness beverage range. Goodness Group founder Troy Douglas said RCPL’s strong supply chain and distribution network would support the company’s plans to expand into up to 50 western markets over the next five years.
Based in Sydney, Goodness Group is known for its “better-for-you” drinks, including zero-calorie, plant-based and protein beverages. The acquisition aligns with RCPL’s strategy to grow its health beverage business and expand its international footprint.
