School readiness program to strengthen foundational learning in classes 1–5

On Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu presented a visionary picture of the state’s educational future, emphasizing that it is constructing schools of the future by combining state-of-the-art technology with solid foundations. Khandu emphasized the government’s multifaceted efforts to guarantee that no child is left behind in a social media post. In his message on X, the chief minister emphasized his government’s commitment to systemic change: “Arunachal is building the schools of tomorrow, from strong foundations in literacy and numeracy to AI-powered monitoring.” One of the primary modifications is the School Readiness Program, which attempts to enhance the foundations of reading, writing, and numeracy in classes 1 through 5. This early intervention, according to Khandu, is crucial to preparing young pupils for higher study.

Additionally, the chief minister highlighted the kids’ increased board-level achievement. “Class 10 and 12 results have improved by more than 10%,” he said, citing this as evidence that initiatives are having a noticeable impact. Arunachal has launched the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), a cutting-edge monitoring center that tracks school performance in real-time using GIS and artificial intelligence, in an effort to make learning more data-driven. “We can swiftly detect gaps and react precisely with VSK,” Khandu stated. Along with launching Mission Shikshit Arunachal by 2029, the state government has invested Rs 3,000 crore to upgrade facilities, renovate infrastructure, and improve learning outcomes throughout the state. The chief minister went on to say, “This mission will redefine the learning experience in our schools and ensure every child has access to quality education.”
