Security Boost as NSCN Cadre Surrenders in Tirap

A militant from the banned National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) (Akato) has surrendered to security forces in Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh, according to an official statement. The individual, identified as Inno Mosha Pangsa, is a 23-year-old self-styled ‘sergeant’ and hails from Tuensang district in Nagaland. Pangsa had joined the NSCN (Akato) on April 19, 2022. During the surrender, he relinquished a .32 calibre pistol, four cartridges, and a walkie-talkie radio set along with its charger. Following the surrender, the militant was handed over to the Khonsa Police for further legal action.
