Seppa administration begins right of way marking for PMGSY road to Laimoya

The Seppa district administration has launched the Right of Way (ROW) marking and pegging for the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road connecting Seppa to Laimoya. The project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and connectivity in the East Kameng district. The initiative is being led by a dedicated team under the supervision of Yomgam Marde, APCS, Circle Officer of Sawa. The team includes Assistant Engineer (AE), Junior Engineer (JE), police personnel, and local youth volunteers. Despite heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions, the team began their work at 7:00 am from Pacha Bridge and completed the task at Laimoya Road Bridge by noon.

The Seppa administration has underscored its commitment to improving road infrastructure as part of its vision to transform East Kameng into a model district. Once completed, the new PMGSY road is expected to improve connectivity, reduce traffic congestion, and spur socio-economic growth for Seppa and its surrounding areas. To ensure the project’s success, the administration is actively encouraging local residents and stakeholders to cooperate and support the ongoing efforts. Authorities believe that community involvement is critical to overcoming any challenges and ensuring the timely completion of the project.

The project marks another milestone in Arunachal Pradesh’s rural development initiatives under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, aimed at providing all-weather road access to remote and rural areas across the state.
