‘Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0’ reaches Kaho village in Arunachal, strengthens border governance

In a landmark effort to take governance to India’s remotest frontiers, the Arunachal Pradesh government conducted its flagship outreach programme Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 at Kaho village in Anjaw district, nestled along the India-China border. The village, often referred to as the first village of India due to its geographical location, witnessed an enthusiastic response from residents and local officials alike.The event was inaugurated by Minister for Information & Public Relations and Labour, Nyato Dukam, in the presence of local MLA and Minister for Women & Child Development and Science & Technology, Dasanglu Pul. Their presence underscored the state government’s commitment to inclusive development and last-mile service delivery.

Also attending the event were Anjaw ZPC Soblem Pul, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Anjaw, BJP district president Bakhetso Tawsik, and ZPM Dasanglu Pul. Officials and departmental representatives set up service booths to address public grievances and deliver key welfare schemes. Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 is designed to provide doorstep access to essential services such as health checkups, Aadhaar registration, pension enrolment, and welfare scheme assistance. The initiative aims to bridge the service gap for residents of remote and border villages, ensuring that development touches even the most inaccessible regions.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Dukam said, “Our objective is to make governance people-centric and accessible. Programmes like Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 ensure that every citizen, regardless of their location, receives the benefits they are entitled to.”
