STIHL India has reinforced its focus on the Northeast farm equipment market by concluding its West-to-East “Parivartan Yatra” with a grand ceremony in Itanagar. The nationwide initiative, which travelled more than 15,000 kilometres across nine states, connected with over 10,000 farmers and showcased mechanised solutions aimed at improving efficiency and reducing dependence on manual labour. The programme featured live demonstrations and direct engagement with farming communities.
Company executives present at the Itanagar event said the Northeast, including Arunachal Pradesh, is a key growth area due to its unique agricultural needs. Mechanisation, they noted, can help farmers handle challenging terrain while improving output and saving time. The yatra also helped strengthen STIHL India’s dealer outreach and brand presence in the eastern region. By engaging directly with farmers in places like Itanagar, the company gained insights into local requirements and usage patterns.
STIHL India, a subsidiary of the global STIHL Group, said its long-term strategy includes expanding farmer-centric initiatives and building strong regional networks. The successful conclusion of the Parivartan Yatra in Itanagar underlines the company’s commitment to supporting agricultural growth while tapping emerging markets in the Northeast.
