Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), in collaboration with the Department of Electronics, IT & BT, Government of Karnataka, has announced the launch of the 26th edition of its acclaimed TCS Rural IT Quiz. Recognized by the Limca Book of Records as India’s first IT quiz for rural students, the program aims to raise technology awareness among students from smaller towns and districts across the country.
The quiz, part of the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, is open to students of Classes 8 to 12, excluding those from city corporation limits. It features online tests, virtual rounds, and physical quiz events, covering technology applications in sectors such as banking, education, entertainment, robotics, AI, cloud computing, sports, gaming, and social networking. Eight regional finals will be held, with winners advancing to the National Finals in Bengaluru in November 2025. Regional winners and runners-up will receive gift vouchers worth Rs 10,000 and Rs 7,000, while national winners will receive TCS education scholarships of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000.
