Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik of Arunachal Pradesh praised the Indian Army for its discipline and persistent commitment to protecting the state’s borders and preserving peace in delicate areas. Parnaik praised the Army’s crucial role in maintaining territorial integrity and expressed confidence in its readiness along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) during a meeting with Major General Vivek Bakshi, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 56 Infantry Division, at Raj Bhavan here.
A number of important topics were covered in the discussion, such as disaster preparedness, enhancing civil-military cooperation, the security situation and strategic environment along the LAC, and welfare programs for veterans and veterans. According to an official release, the meeting also covered community outreach programs. The governor cited successful collaborative projects including road construction, disaster response, and civic engagement programs to emphasize the value of coordinated efforts.
Additionally, he emphasized how programs like the “vibrant villages” initiative may have a revolutionary effect when military and civilian organizations work together. In order to enhance the welfare of veterans and their families, Parnaik, who has taken an active part in ex-servicemen demonstrations throughout the state, asked the Army to hold more job fairs, medical camps, and pension outreach programs in outlying districts. Additionally, he urged the Army to interact with schools and young people by holding career awareness programs and inspirational speeches about the military.
