The Indian Army will hold a rally for ex-servicemen on June 14 in Tenga Valley

On June 14, the Indian Army will honor the bravery, commitment, and sacrifices of veterans and veer naris from the state by holding a large former-servicemen rally at the Tenga Valley military station in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Together with senior military officers, state government representatives, welfare organizations, and resettlement agencies, the event will be graced by state Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik, GOC Ball of Fire Division Maj Gen K S Grewal, and GOC Gajraj Corps Lt Gen Gambir Singh, according to a statement released Thursday by Defence PRO Lt Col Mahendra Rawat.

According to him, the rally would offer immediate support by setting up special help desks to deal with concerns about healthcare, pensions, and relocation. Free health examinations and consultations will be provided at a fully furnished medical camp. Additionally, the Army Welfare Placement Organization, Directorate of Indian Army Veterans, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), and the Arunachal Pradesh Resettlement department will set up stalls where veterans and their families can obtain a range of support services. According to Lt Col Rawat, students will show their appreciation and respect for the veteran community by presenting cultural acts.
