The training program for cultivation in sandy soil is currently underway

Twenty trainees from the Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Conservation, and Rural Development Departments, in collaboration with the ATMA district training office and Krishi Vigyan Kendras, are engaged in a five-day training program focused on water management techniques for vegetable cultivation in the sandy soils of Arunachal Pradesh.

This training, sponsored by the Central Agricultural University, will include 20 lectures covering various topics such as water management techniques, smart irrigation for commercial vegetable farming, soil management in organic cultivation, strategies for managing water stress in climate-resilient agriculture, protected cultivation, a package of practices for selected exotic vegetable crops, project formulation, and the cost economics associated with project proposals.
