Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is redefining sustainable mobility with cutting-edge innovations tailored for the Indian market. At India Energy Week (IEW) 2025, held in New Delhi from February 11 to 14, Toyota introduced a range of eco-friendly vehicles designed to offer consumers smarter, cleaner, and more cost-effective transportation options.
Toyota’s innovation-driven approach features the InnovaHycross Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (SHEV), the Mirai Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) powered by hydrogen, and the Prius Flex-Fuel Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FFV-PHEV) capable of running on up to 100% ethanol. Additionally, the company presented its Urban Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Concept, an agile solution for city dwellers, alongside its locally manufactured e-Drive system, reinforcing India’s role in the global clean energy revolution under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. With sustainability at the forefront, Toyota is actively addressing consumer needs. Ethanol-powered vehicles provide a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fuels, while the company’s push to shift 65% of transport routes from Bidadi to the North via rail has significantly lowered emissions and enhanced supply chain efficiency, benefiting both businesses and consumers.
Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head & EVP – Corporate Affairs and Governance, TKM, emphasized Toyota’s commitment to consumer-focused innovation, stating, “The future of mobility lies in sustainable solutions that are accessible and practical. Our diverse lineup ensures that every consumer can be part of the green revolution.” Toyota’s pioneering efforts in sustainable mobility are shaping a future where eco-conscious innovation aligns seamlessly with economic and consumer priorities.
