A helicopter crash with subsequent fire at an open plot in the Bavdhan region left three persons dead including two pilots and an engineer on Wednesday morning at Pune. The helicopter crashed in the hilly area at around 6:45 am after taking off from the golf course’s helipad nearby. There were three people on board: Pritam Bharadwaj, an engineer, and the two pilots, Paramjit Singh and G.K. Pillai. According to the authorities, preliminary assessments suggest that the helicopter belonged to Heritage Aviation and was registered under the registration number VT EVV. It was located in Pune.
As previously mentioned, the Nationalist Congress Party had rented the chopper, and its intended destination was Mumbai. He was planning to take the chopper to Raigad, according to NCP chief Sunil Tatkare. Videos and pictures shot at the scene show a burning helicopter spewing dense smoke out of it. Four fire trucks from Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority and Pune Municipal Corporation are reportedly waiting at the scene of the collision, according to the police. Police stated that dense fog was one of the accident’s reasons, even if the exact cause is yet unknown.
