Virat Kohli didn’t wanted to be ordinary cricket player says Harbhajan Singh

Virat Kohli made his cricket debut series in 2008. Former legendary cricketer Harbhajan Singh recalled how Virat Kohli was self-doubting himself wanting to excel in the ground.

Recalling an incident during ODI against Sri Lanka, Harbhajan shared, “I remember this one incident. Viru [Virender Sehwag] had gotten injured, I suppose. [Ajantha] Mendis was getting everyone out. He comes in; young guy, free energy. He batted and scored a fifty. He asked me, ‘Paaji, how did I play?’ I said, ‘Very well.’

Harbhajan Singh also shared about Virat’s debut test series in 2011, when Virat had questions on himself, if he’s good enough. Harbhajan adviced him saying, “You will shame yourself if you don’t score 10, 000 runs. You have the capabilities. If you don’t, it’ ll be because of your own fault.”

Further Harbhajan also praised Virat Kohli saying, he have changed over the time, his diet, mindset. Virat didn’t wanted to be just ordinary cricket player.
