The Itanagar capital district administration has issued a fervent appeal to the citizens, urging their cooperation in curbing rampant earth cutting and encroachments across the entire Itanagar Capital Region (ICR). DC Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta emphasized the administration’s concerted efforts to address issues of earth cutting and encroachment swiftly, pledging immediate action upon receiving any complaints. However, Mehta stressed that combating such nuisances requires a collaborative effort from the citizenry.
In light of this, she called upon the residents to act as vigilant allies of the administration, urging them to report instances of earth cutting, encroachment, or illicit constructions to the DC Office via the designated helpline number. Complaints can be lodged through either 8730977604 or the Itanagar Deputy Commissioner’s Grievance Redressal page at itanagar.nic.in.
Assuring confidentiality, Mehta affirmed that the identity of informants would be safeguarded. “The district administration appeals to its citizens to join hands and serve as silent volunteers, assisting in the enforcement of stringent measures against offenders for the betterment of the twin Capital’s future and development,” she remarked.
