A documentary film titled “The Untold Story of Vijaynagar” was released recently in ArunachalPradesh, shedding light on the largely unknown history of the Vijaynagar settlers and their remarkable journey of resilience and perseverance.
The film captured how the settlers established their lives in one of the most remote and challenging terrains, highlighting the hardships they endured and the contributions they made over the years.
Although the community had recently come into public discussion, many people across Arunachal Pradesh remained unfamiliar with their past.
The documentary aimed to bridge this gap by presenting their struggles, achievements, and lived realities.
The programme was graced by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu as the chief guest and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein as the guest of honour, along with other dignitaries.
The event brought greater awareness to the history and significance of the Vijaynagar community while recognising their enduring spirit.
