Arunachal Pradesh government announces major bureaucratic reshuffle

The Arunachal Pradesh government has announced a major bureaucratic reshuffle impacting several high-ranking officials.

According to an official order issued by Chief Secretary Dharmendra, Kaling Tayeng, a 1998 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Principal Secretary (Election). This strategic reassignment highlights the government’s focus on enhancing the electoral process in the state.

The reshuffle also sees Vivek Pandey taking over from Pawan Kumar Sain as Commissioner of Urban Affairs, covering Urban Development, Town Planning, Urban Local Bodies, and Housing. Sain, meanwhile, will transition to the role of Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, while also assuming additional responsibilities as Commissioner of Public Health Engineering & Water Supply, replacing Audesh Kumar Singh.
