Officials from the North Eastern Council (NEC) and the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) convened with the Arunachal Pradesh district administration on November 25 to evaluate ongoing development projects under NEC, NESIDS-OTRI, and DoNER initiatives.
NEC members Tenzing Norbu Thongdok and Longki Phangcho emphasized the need for timely execution and effective utilization of development schemes. Thongdok urged Deputy Commissioner Akriti Sagar and her team to leverage available schemes for public benefit, ensuring that the tendering process is swift and utilization certificates are submitted without delay. He also insisted that all proposals be free of encumbrances to avoid project hindrances.
Phangcho stressed prioritizing education, pledging NEC’s support for educational schemes to uplift the region’s academic infrastructure. The meeting, attended by CO Protocol Sange Norbu, DPO H. Taipodia, and officials from various departments, highlighted the importance of collaboration and accountability in driving development across Arunachal Pradesh.This review reflects the commitment to ensuring that government schemes reach their intended beneficiaries effectively, fostering growth and improving living standards in the state.
