The much-anticipated Siang Open Football Tournament commenced on December 17 at the General Ground in Tuting, Arunachal Pradesh, with 15 teams competing in both men’s and women’s categories. The tournament, organized in collaboration with the Army, civil administration, and local schools, is set to be a week-long celebration of sports and community spirit. Tuting, a picturesque border town and sub-divisional headquarters in Upper Siang district, has transformed into a hub of excitement as 10 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams gear up to battle it out on a league-cum-knockout basis.
