Project Navbharat Inspires Students Through ‘Know Your Army’ Event at Sigar

As part of Project Navbharat, Spearhead Division organised an engaging ‘Know Your Army’ event at Sigar Military Station for students and NCC cadets from Don Bosco School and IGJ Higher Secondary School.

The programme aimed at fostering awareness about the Indian Army, inspiring patriotism among the youth and providing firsthand exposure to the life and ethos of a soldier. More than 100 students, accompanied by their teachers, participated in the event and interacted closely with Army personnel.

A key highlight of the programme was an informative briefing on Operation Sindoor, which provided participants with insights into the professionalism, courage and operational capabilities of the Indian Army. The students also witnessed displays of modern weapons, surveillance and drone systems, offering them a glimpse into contemporary military technology and its role in modern warfare.

The event further featured live firing demonstrations and a battle obstacle course, enabling participants to experience the challenges, discipline and determination that define military training. The interactive nature of the programme generated immense enthusiasm among the students and encouraged meaningful engagement with the Armed Forces.

Through Project Navbharat, the Indian Army continues to strengthen its connect with the youth, nurturing values of leadership, discipline, national pride and service to the Nation. The initiative reflects the Army’s commitment towards inspiring future generations and fostering greater awareness about the role of the Armed Forces in nation-building.
