Digital Media Houses Sensitised on Statutory Norms Ahead of AEDMA Conclave 2026

The Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA), in collaboration with the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), organized a one-day workshop on ‘Company and GST Matters’ at Soochna Bhawan in Itanagar. Serving as a prelude to AEDMA’s upcoming 14th Foundation Day, the session aimed to sensitise digital media house owners and management representatives to various statutory compliances, including company registration, GST, and income tax regulations. Special emphasis was placed on the timely filing of board resolutions and returns under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs regulations, which are vital criteria for state government empanelment and renewal.

Senior chartered accountant and AEDMA financial advisor Ramesh Chandra Roy conducted the technical sessions, addressing regulatory compliance queries from participants. DIPR Director Gijum Tali commended the initiative, urging unity and cooperation to strengthen the state’s media fraternity. Additionally, IPR Deputy Director Denga Bengia briefed attendees on the Arunachal Pradesh Print and Digital Advertisement Policy, 2025, detailing journalist accreditation and empanelment criteria while encouraging media houses to maintain high journalistic standards.

Concluding the workshop, AEDMA President J.T. Tagam expressed gratitude to the DIPR for their administrative support. He also extended an invitation to media professionals across the region to participate in the upcoming AEDMA Conclave 2026, which is scheduled to take place on July 29 at the State Banquet Hall in Itanagar to celebrate the association’s anniversary milestone.
