Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Ojing Tasing on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to candidates who successfully completed skill training under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0 in Arunachal Pradesh.
The three-month skill development programme was implemented by the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) under the Rural Development Department, with training provided through empanelled project implementing agencies at various centres.
The beneficiaries received training in diverse sectors, including airport terminal operations, tourism and hospitality, food and beverage services, and fashion designing, among other trades. Following the completion of their training, all the candidates secured employment and received their appointment letters.
Congratulating the candidates, Minister Ojing Tasing encouraged them to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and professionalism. He also appreciated the efforts of ArSRLM, project implementing agencies, training partners and employers for supporting youth skill development and employment generation.
The selected candidates are set to join their respective employers at different locations across the country, including Itanagar, Naharlagun, Karnataka, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pune, Goa and Jaipur.
According to ArSRLM, the candidates will receive annual cost-to-company packages ranging from Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 3.36 lakh, depending on their job roles and employers. The initiative reflects the government’s continued efforts to empower rural youth through skill development and sustainable employment opportunities.
