At the chief minister’s conference hall here on Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik celebrated the power of storytelling as a link between tradition and modernity while introducing the book “Mystic Arunachal – Tales from India’s Hidden Frontier.” Parnaik commended the book’s author, Major Rahul Jha, who is currently the Governor’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC), calling it “a tribute to the timeless traditions, the silent resilience, and the natural grandeur of Arunachal.”
He commended Major Jha for going above and above the call of duty to fully immerse himself in the state’s heart and soul, encapsulating it in literature that was influenced by authentic indigenous traditions. In addition to praising Major Jha for his imaginative contribution, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who co-launched the book with the governor, highlighted the importance of using literature to preserve and celebrate Arunachal’s many cultures and oral traditions. According to him, the book gives readers a unique and sincere look into the colorful identities and lived realities of the state’s native groups.
