Tesla is scheduled to open its second experience center in India at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, New Delhi, on August 11. This represents a major step in the Elon Musk-led company’s entrance into the Indian market, which began with the successful opening of its first store in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. Customers will be able to engage with Tesla’s flagship electric car, the Model Y, which made its Indian premiere at the showroom launch in Mumbai, at the new center. The Model Y will be displayed in both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long-Range RWD versions.
The Long-Range model costs ₹67.89 lakh (₹69.15 lakh on-road), while the Tesla Model Y RWD variant starts at ₹59.89 lakh, with an on-road price of ₹61.07 lakh. With a 60 kWh or 75 kWh battery pack, the RWD variant can travel 500 km on WLTP and produce about 295 horsepower. That is up to 622 kilometers on a single charge in the Long-Range variant. Additionally, Tesla is bringing its supercharging network to Delhi.
Four V4 DC Supercharging stalls with top speeds of 250 kW at ₹24/kWh and four AC Destination Charging stalls with peak speeds of 11 kW at ₹11/kWh will be available at the Aerocity showroom. Four other destination chargers are anticipated in Delhi NCR as well. This most recent expansion demonstrates Tesla’s increasing attention to India, opening the door for broader EV adoption and laying the groundwork for future infrastructural and localization investments.
