The Indian Army is organizing a National Integration Tour (NIT) for students from the Government Higher Secondary School in Mechuka, situated in the remote Shi-Yomi District of Arunachal Pradesh. Scheduled to start on January 5, 2026, this initiative aims to provide significant national exposure to students from this isolated area by linking them with India’s cultural, historical, and institutional landscape. This tour underscores the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to nation-building through the empowerment of youth and fostering emotional integration with the national mainstream.
During the tour, students will visit key cities including Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Itanagar, where they will gain firsthand exposure to India’s democratic institutions, national heritage, and rich socio-cultural diversity. The planned itinerary includes visits to notable landmarks such as Teen Murti Bhawan, Rashtrapati Bhawan, and the National War Memorial, as well as opportunities for interaction at leading educational and defense institutions.
