At the opening of a new dorm building at the Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Residential School in Chongkham, Namasi district, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chown Mein stressed the importance of education and argued for its integration with cultural and linguistic preservation. He emphasized the need of digitizing and repairing rare manuscripts kept in the museum, which are thought to be essential to the state’s legacy, and reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting the teaching of Pali and Tai Khamti languages.
Mein stated that students will greatly benefit from the recently opened 60-bed dormitory, especially considering the scarcity of boarding options and parents’ aspirations for their kids to have a top-notch education. He commended the RWD team and the Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Society on the successful completion of this infrastructure project and pledged to continue supporting growth, including future hostel capacity increases.
The deputy chief minister also took part in a coordination conference aimed at defining the limits of the Namsai Nagar Palika. He noted that as Namsai rapidly develops into an urban hub, it is critical to provide basic civic amenities including roads, sanitation, water supply, street lighting, and market facilities. Mein urged all parties involved to work together to make Namsai a model town.
