Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on January 23 paid tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, observed as Parakram Diwas. They remembered him as one of the most influential leaders of India’s freedom struggle, whose ideals continue to inspire the nation even today.
In a post on X, CM Khandu said Parakram Diwas stands for valour, self-respect and sacrifice in India’s history. He recalled Bose as the founder of the Azad Hind Fauj and said Arunachal Pradesh joined the rest of the country in honouring the legendary freedom fighter.
Deputy CM Chowna Mein also hailed Bose as a powerful symbol of courage, patriotism and dedication. He said Netaji’s fearless leadership and strong spirit still motivate Indians to protect the country’s unity, dignity and self-reliance.
Mein added that Bose’s life teaches the importance of discipline, determination and devotion towards nation-building, and called for renewed commitment to creating a stronger, inclusive and prosperous India.
