Arunachal officials represent state at India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi

Arunachal Pradesh Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Secretary Dr Sonal Swaroop and Information Technology and Communication Director Neelam Yapin Tana represented the Government of Arunachal Pradesh at the inaugural ceremony of the India AI Impact Summit-2026 held at Bharat Mandapam on Thursday. The summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and saw participation from delegates of 118 countries. The event brought together heads of states, global leaders in artificial intelligence, and more than 500 industry experts from across the world. The summit was organised around the theme “Sarvajan hitaya, sarvajan sukhaya” (Welfare for all, happiness of all). It highlighted India’s vision to lead the global AI revolution with a focus on inclusive growth, ethical innovation and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

In his address, the Prime Minister outlined the MANAV vision for AI. He stressed the need for moral and ethical systems, accountable governance, protection of national sovereignty, accessible and inclusive frameworks, and valid and legitimate practices in AI development.The Arunachal representatives attended plenary sessions and keynote addresses by Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and leading global figures such as N Chandrasekaran of Tata Group, Dario Amodei, Sundar Pichai and António Guterres. The event also featured a keynote by French President Emmanuel Macron and addresses by industrialist Mukesh Ambani, philanthropist Bill Gates, Sam Altman and Demis Hassabis. International ministers from Togo, Indonesia, Egypt, Costa Rica and the UAE also participated in discussions on AI governance and digital transformation.

The Prime Minister also led a delegation tour of AI pavilions at Bharat Mandapam, including the Bharat Pavilion, which showcased AI infrastructure, foundational models, livestock and dairy solutions, Bridgital Loom and Gyan Bharatam.
