Chief Minister Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh attended the historic Nyokum Yullo 50th Year Golden Jubilee celebration in the Bameng constituency, calling it a momentous and revered occasion for the populace. On this auspicious day, Nyokum Ane was prayed for peace, prosperity, and unity, the Chief Minister said. By stating that Nyokum is more than just a celebration, it symbolizes a deep bond between humans and the natural world, he highlighted the festival’s cultural significance. Declaring that the government had completed projects worth Rs 67 crore for the Bameng constituency, Khandu announced a major push for development and reaffirmed its commitment to transforming the region.
“Let this Golden Jubilee be a fresh start. Together, let’s make Bameng more resilient and self-sufficient,” he remarked. In the meantime, ceremonial flag hoisting and religious rites marked the start of the 57th Doimukh Nyokum Yullo festivities. The festivities got off to a lucky start when the celebration committee invited Priest Tana Rohesor to the Nyokum Yullo Ground. At Rono Ground, the committee also raised the flag of joy. The Chairman urged Doimukh residents, both young and old, to congregate in great numbers to observe and celebrate the colorful festival after the event.
