Nyishi Elite Society’s Keyi Panyor unit surrenders airguns for wildlife conservation in Arunachal

In a significant move towards wildlife conservation, the Nyishi Elite Society’s Keyi Panyor district unit surrendered their airguns, pledging to cease hunting wildlife and birds for meat. The event, part of the ‘Airgun Surrender Abhiyan,’ highlights the community’s commitment to environmental protection.

The surrender ceremony, held in collaboration with the district administration at Tajgi in Param Putu circle, Keyi Panyor district, aims to inspire a greener and more sustainable future for the state. The ‘Airgun Surrender Abhiyan’ represents an eco-conscious step to safeguard the state’s wildlife and natural heritage.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to the platform X to commend the Keyi Panyor unit’s efforts, stating, “Congratulations to Nyishi Elite Society’s Keyi Panyor district unit and all those involved in #AirgunSurrenderAbhiyan for taking an eco-friendly step towards preserving our wildlife & environment.” He further emphasized, “Together, we will create a brighter, greener future for Arunachal Pradesh.”
