Apple’s Next Flagship: iPhone 18 Pro Rumored to Feature Samsung Camera Tech, Improved Battery Life

Early supply chain leaks point to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup receiving some of the biggest hardware upgrades in years. According to rumors, Apple might be able to avoid its bitter feud with Samsung and get a sophisticated three-layer stacked 48-megapixel image sensor from the South Korean technology giant. This dedicated hardware is expected to drastically cut image noise, maximize dynamic range and enhance low-light telephoto performance, delivering unrivaled clarity for mobile photographers.

And to power these ambitious camera upgrades, as well as the increasing on-device artificial intelligence needs, Apple is also reported to be tackling a long-standing user request: a beefier battery. The premium models might see a capacity bump to as high as 5,200 mAh. Admittedly this will make for a slightly thicker and heavier device, but the trade-off is expected to deliver proper 1.5 to 2 days of heavy-use endurance.

The iPhone 18 Pro is also expected to come with TSMC’s latest 2-nanometer A20 Pro chip, which reportedly offers 15% to 30% more power efficiency. The next-gen flagship is shaping up to be an endurance and photography powerhouse, combined with a more efficient LTPO+ display and a narrower, less intrusive Dynamic Island when it debuts this autumn.
