HCL Foundation has launched the 12th edition of the HCLTech Grant, committing ₹24 crore to support non-profit organisations working on sustainable rural development, reinforcing the growing role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding in India’s social impact ecosystem.
The CSR arm of HCLTech said the grant programme will focus on projects related to water conservation, biodiversity, health and education. Four NGOs selected through a jury-led process will receive ₹5 crore each, while eight other organisations will be awarded grants of ₹50 lakh each. Applications will remain open until June 30, 2026.
The announcement comes as companies increasingly channel CSR investments into scalable, community-led initiatives aligned with India’s sustainable development goals. According to HCL Foundation, more than ₹203 crore has been committed through the HCLTech Grant since its inception, making it one of the country’s notable philanthropic funding platforms for grassroots organisations.
The foundation said projects supported under previous editions have positively impacted over 2.3 million people across 61,000 villages. These initiatives have also resulted in the planting of more than three lakh saplings, rejuvenation of over 68,300 hectares of land and a reduction of more than 67,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.
In a parallel initiative, HCL Foundation announced its Pan India Symposiums 2026 in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Nagpur and Delhi, aimed at bringing together NGOs, policymakers, corporates and experts to discuss how CSR investments can accelerate nation-building and inclusive growth.
