M/s Pra Nuravi Coal Mining Pvt. A rare example of quick, consensus-driven land purchase in the mining sector, the acquisition was completed strictly in accordance with the Ministry of Coal’s standards and rules.

Senior district authorities, such as R.D. Thungon, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Miao, and D. Wangchu, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Kharsang, witnessed the completion of the land acquisition procedure, highlighting the exercise’s administrative control and transparency. Industry watchers point out that this development is unique not only because of the acquisition’s size but also because of the extraordinary speed and collaboration with which it was accomplished. Pra Nuravi Coal Mining Pvt. Ltd. has been the first mining firm in the nation to obtain the necessary land and additional parcels through mutual agreement in a relatively short amount of time, in a sector that is frequently plagued by protracted arguments and resistance.

Officials and local stakeholders credit the success to sustained community engagement led by Shri Ravi Ranjan Choubey, Director of Pra Nuravi Coal Mining Pvt. Ltd. His people-centric and ethical approach helped build trust among villagers. Residents of Longtom Village acknowledged the company for balancing industrial development with community welfare. The land acquisition marks a key milestone for the Namchik West Block Coal Mine and sets a benchmark for responsible mining, highlighting the role of dialogue, transparency, and cooperation between industry, administration, and local communities.
